Yo, it's been a minute, but I'm back with a CD Review, I actually won this jawn in a contest by Thi'sl, in which I had to guess the correct release date. Anywho, this cd is FIRE, it shows the real side of street life and the consequences of it if you don't turn from your ways to the Lord Jesus Christ. The album deals with a lot of issues, from Crack, to Urban Missions, to growing up without a father, to liveing the "fast-life", it's all here, and presented in a gritty yet biblical world view. This album has had crossover appeal, even reaching number 1 on the iTunes Hip Hop/Rap Charts by the end of the week it was released.
It is now availiable worldwide on iTunes, and @ amazon.com
I rate an 8/10

CRAZY
The NBA has gone mad this summer
Ron Artest to the Lakers
Sheed to the Celtics?
Shaq to the Cavs!!!!!!
Turkoglu spurns the Blazers for Toronto?
Matrix to Dallas
Celtics diss Powe and Davis
Grant Hill ponders between NY and Boston?
Steph Curry to GS
Blake Griffin to the NBA's Black hole
Ricky Rubio hates Minny!
so they take Jonny Flynn as well
AI still has no home
oh yeah and LeBron get tyrannical again (or brattish)
there is a lot of Movement in the NBA, and it won't stop any time soon, except maybe in the summer of 2010, because the salary cap is expected to drop.
what is your favorite move thus far?

Andre Iguodala
I'm a HUGE Philadelphia 76ers fan, and our resident star Andre Iguodala, has recently indicated that he dislikes the nickname "Iggy". A name that announcers have used since his rookie year. I want to take this time to apologize to Mr. Iguodala. I guess I just have to call him Andre, or Iguodala, because AI still belongs to Allen Iverson, PS, AI, come back to Philly

On My Mind
Death, it's a word most avoid discussing, and tend not to think about. It is the end. the end of life as we know it. Most believe in some sort of afterlife, in which the deceased is rewarded for their deeds. Some even believe that death is the complete end and that nothing happens after death.
I believe that their is an after-life after the grave, but you are not rewarded for deeds, but by faith. Faith in what, FAITH in the Lord and Savior of the World, Jesus Christ. Those who refuse or fail to place their faith in Jesus will go to Hell, this is not a fate I wish on anyone. I don't wish ill toward anyone, but it is a reality, the Bible, the Word of God spells this out for us.
I pray that the deaths of Michael Jackson, Farrah Fawcett, Ed McMahon, and others awaken you to the urgent decision that needs to be made.
Christ said those who spare their lives will lose it, those who lose their lives shall save it. Choosing Christ definitely means a sacrifice, some harder then others. You might have to take a stand against things loved one's do. You might have to distance yourself from some things and people. But, it's definitely worth it to serve Christ, the Godman, who died to free you from slavery to sin.
It's either Christ or the world, there is no middle ground, gray area, fence sitting, or indecision. Make a decision today, I pray you make the right one.

Encouragement
It's quite often that we do things in life, that we want recognition for, but never get, but there are also times we do things that we might not see as being worthy of recognition. A few weeks ago, a friend told me " I admire you for how you've stepped out on your faith". This was probably one of the few times that I've gotten a compliment or praise without having tried to. It really touched me, It first of all, showed me that I was growing in the grace of Jesus Christ, and that I was letting Him and His Spirit operate in me. Secondly, it showed me that people DO notice the little things that you do. Finally, it showed me that I was correct in choosing to follow Jesus with my life. All Glory and Praise to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Thought
It's been a while since I've posted some of my thoughts on this here blog. lol
First, I want to Thank God for continued and sustained life. I also want to thank Him for just being Himself, which is everything at all times. I've been growing in Christ and stepping out on faith a little more than I used to, and he's never let me down, no matter how small or big the circumstance. There for my thought is simple...I pray that if you believe in Christ as Lord and Savior, and as the propitiation for the sins of the world, that you begin to trust Him with everything, and live a life pleasing to the Father. If you are not yet a believer, I pray that your eyes be opened and your heart tugged by God's grace and mercy.
May His Peace be with you and His Grace abound you

MLB 09: The Show
Sony's exclusive iteration of Americas' favorite pastime has been the top video gaming option since the departure of EA Sports' MVP Baseball. I don't expect anything less with this year's version, however, I'm not feeling Dustin Pedroia (UGH) on the cover, why not a higher profile player, like Chipper Jones, Johan Santana, Derek Jeter, or even Roy Halladay. Outside of hardcore followers of baseball, like myself, I don't think many casual gamers will recognize Pedroia.

SNUB!!!!!
BAD NBA Moment
LA Clippers Forward Zach Randolph lost his cool last night and gave Suns reserve Louis Amundson a left hook to the jaw. Randolph was immediately ejected from the game. Amundson had no visible effects, he scored 13 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in the 40 point Phoenix victory. Randolph made a STUPID decision, and didn't even help his team in doing so, he didn't take anyone out of the game with him so, he left his team HIGH and DRY! Get it together Zach!

What I'd like to see
The ORIGINAL NBA ROOKIE CHALLENGE, with rookies from the Eastern Conference face off against their Western Counterparts. This year would've been excellent Eastern Rookies Derrick Rose, Michael Beasley, and Brook Lopez facing off against OJ Mayo, Kevin Love, and Marc Gasol! I would LOVE it!
IF
If the Phoenix Suns trade F/C Amar'e Stoudemire, it will be a HUGE mistake and will solidify the ending of the D'Antoni run and gun style of basketball made famous in Phoenix. It will usher in a dysfunctional era, which will take years to get out of. Many of the players such as Shaquille O'Neal, Steve Nash, and Grant Hill are aging and trading your best young player is not a smart move.

Feeling Good: Glory to Yahweh
A few days ago, I was upset because of a secret held from me by some friends, but ALL glory goes to God that now I can rest easy and peacefully. I prayed that God would give me the patience and grace to stil be courteous when my feelings were hurt, and He showed up and showed out. He allowed me to forgive them without hesitation. It feels great to not carry grudges. God can do the same for you too, if you ask Christ to give you peace and understanding, he will. Accept Christ today, it WILL change your life!

DON'T SELL YOUR BIRTHRIGHT
Esau, Jacob, and the Birthright
Genesis 25:30-34
30. And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage; for I am faint: therefore was his name called Edom.
31. And Jacob said, Sell me this day your birthright.
32. And Esau asid, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this do to me?
33. And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob.
34.Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles, and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised his birthright.
You are probably wondering, what does this have to do with me. We as born-again Christians, have been given a birthright from God the father. Our birthright is eternal life in heaven and our holiness. Holiness is to be set apart, to be different from the world. Christ said "Be thou holy, because I am holy." All we have to do is live a godly and just life while we are on earth, our temporary home.
However, every time we submit to our fleshly desires, ie. sex, drugs, parties, music etc., we are in a sense selling our birthright by allowing people to lump us with the people of the world, that's why people are turned off by the Word of God, because the people who are in the church act exactly the same as the people who aren't in the church.
So I charge and challenge you, my brothers and sisters in Christ, to strive to live Christ-like, ask yourself before you do anything, "Would Jesus (fill in the blank)?" more often the answer is NO!!!!!
God is not trying to cramp your style or keep you from having fun, He's trying to guard you from becoming a slave to sin. That's why when people do drugs, drink or have sex, it often becomes a habit. Today's society would call that an addiction, or a disease. I agree with that, but it is an addiction or disease of sin, and Dr. God has the only prescription, acceptance of Jesus Christ as your savior and submission of your life to Him.
May God bless and keep you through these trying and difficult times.
"Life ain't what it seems, but seems to appeal, to our appetite so just for a single meal
we sell our birthrights, now that's senseless like, trading in your motorcyle for a dirtbike
earth's aight but turn on a searchlight, and you'll notice that a new pair of Jordan's are some hurt nikes"

Who should be the NBA ROY?
Most casual fans will say that, just by numbers, Memphis guard, O.J. Mayo, is the front runner for the NBA Rookie of the Year Award, and for the most part, I agree, he is having a great season averaging 19 points, 4 rebounds, and shooting 44 percent from the floor, 88 percent from the free throw line, and 37 percent from three-point land, all after a controversial off-season.
But are there any other candidates for the crown?
I'll make the case for some under-publicized first year players having good seasons.
Marc Gasol- Yes the same Marc Gasol who started for Spain alongside his All-Star brother Pau in this past summers Olympic Games. Even though he was drafted by the Lakers in the 2nd round of the 2007 NBA draft, he is technically a rookie this season after playing overseas last season. He is currently Memphis' starting center and is showing some true skill, averaging 11 points (8th among rookies) and 7 rebounds (3rd among rookies) a game and shooting 52 percent(5th among rookies with at least 30 games played) from the field, and he is the fourth scoring option of the Grizzlies. He probably won't win, but he deserves a bit of recognition.
Kevin Love- The former UCLA center is averaging better than 8 points and 8 rebounds a game, off of the bench! He is 5th among all players in offensive rebounds with 136 boards. He is averaging 17.6 rebounds per 48 minutes, good for fourth in the NBA. So far in January, he has yet to have less than 7 rebounds in a game. In my book, giving your team more possessions is EXTREMELY valuable.
Mario Chalmers- Miami's rookie point guard is ranked 7th in steals per game, and 6th in total steals. He's proving to be a lock down defender on the perimeter. He has 12 games this season with at least 3 swipes, 7 of which he had 4 or more. He had 9 steals in a single game(against my Sixers, ugh) but he's putting it down in Miami. He's also shooting 36 percent from beyond the arc.
Most of us know about Derrick Rose (Chicago), Michael Beasley (Miami) , Russell Westbrook (Oklahoma City), and Greg Oden (Portland, and last years #1 overall pick). These are just some cats to keep an eye out for , they may break into the starting lineup (Love) begin to post better numbers (Gasol), or my cause an impact in the playoff hunt(Chalmers). You just never know.

Dream Closer to Fruition: BLACK PRESIDENT by Tony Timberlake III (ME)
50 years ago, we were fighting for civil rights
On November 4th, we stayed up all night
Cause it appears that we’ve turned a new page in the war
We’ve passed our fears, and we’re still here
Despite racism, and prejudice
For years we’ve dreamed of this
A BLACK PRESIDENT
That breaks the precedent
Of all the former Presidents
He stands out from them all
Barack, stay strong, trust in the Lord
Pray for guidance and you won’t fall
Even if you do, God is still there
We have a black president
Dr. King dreamed of this
We have equal footing
We’re not quite singing together
But we’re closer to harmony
Streets are full of shooting
The government is concerned with the weather
But we’re closer to the song we
Shall OVERCOME

Shai Linne's Storiez
Is on of THE BEST ABLUMS I've heard in a long time.
If you are a fan of hip-hop, this is a very original, thought provoking album. It's very challenging for the believer, and each lyric is beautifully constructed by this master wordsmith, all for the glory of Yahweh, the God of Israel.
I give the album 8.5/10
MY SIXERS
I am an avid Philadelphia 76ers fan, and I have been since I began to seriously follow basketball.
Entering, the season expectations were high, after pushing the Detroit Pistons to six games in the 1st round of the playoffs last season, and after acquiring star Power Forward Elton Brand, we were expected to push for one of the top four seeds in the Eastern conference.
After a slow start that included the firing of head coach Mo Cheeks (one of my favorite coaches in the NBA) and an injury to Brand, my favorite player Andre Iguodala has stepped his game UP! Iguodala's numbers(17.5 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 5.3 apg) are great, but it seems that his game has returned to last years level.
Iguodala went over 20 points in a game only 3 times with Brand in the lineup during the 25 games Brand played in. Since the injury to Brand Iguodala, has been over 20 points eleven times in only 16 games, more importantly, he has not been held under double digit points, something he did 5 times in the games Brand played in. Those games were against Miami, New York, Boston, Chicago, and Milwaukee.
I feel AI2 is feeling a bit more assertive and comfortable in the offense without Brand on the floor, and it shows, he has played huge against San Antonio, Dallas, Houston, Portland, Atlanta, Utah, and Denver. All of which are pretty solid if not above-average NBA teams.
Let's go AI2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
